HyperM Is Now Independent. Here’s What That Means for Our Clients.
After eight years as Allison’s affiliate in South Korea, we are launching as a fully independent agency — and this is what we’re building.
On April 1, 2026, we officially rebranded from Allison HyperM to HyperM and began operating as a fully independent PR and marketing agency. For clients who have partnered with us over the years, our team, the quality of our work, and our relationship capital with key stakeholders and opinion leaders remain unchanged. What has changed is our strategic freedom—and we fully intend to put it to use.

Twenty-Four Years in the Making
HyperM was founded in 2002 as Min Communications, a boutique PR consultancy built on the belief that B2B technology companies deserve communications counsel as rigorous and strategic as the products and services they bring to market. Over the following two decades, the firm evolved into one of South Korea’s most experienced integrated marketing agencies, serving clients across technology, healthcare, consumer goods, and financial services.
One dimension of our work that has defined us over the years is our role as hub agency for a wide range of global leading brands operating in Korea. Acting as the local strategic anchor for international campaigns — coordinating across regions, aligning with global agency networks, and ensuring that what works globally translates into something that genuinely resonates in the Korean market — has given us a level of fluency in multi-market communications that relatively few Korean agencies possess. That experience shapes how we think, how we collaborate, and how we integrate into larger agency ecosystems. It also means we understand, from the inside, what global agencies need from a local partner and how to deliver it.
In 2018, we joined the Allison global network, further strengthening our international perspective. Over eight years of collaboration with Allison’s teams across more than 30 markets, we significantly sharpened our global instincts. Now, with that experience fully embedded in how we think and operate, we are ready to move forward on our own terms.
Two Brands, One Strategic Logic
Independence gave us the opportunity to restructure our brand architecture around the two things we do best, and the two audiences we most want to serve.
HyperM is our core brand for the Korean market. It brings together everything we have built over 24 years — strategic PR, media relations, crisis communications, digital marketing, and IMC — with a significant new addition: AEO (Answer Engine Optimization) and GEO (Generative Engine Optimization) consulting. The way Korean consumers and business decision-makers discover information is changing rapidly. Portal-based search is giving way to conversational queries directed at Claude, ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, and their successors. HyperM helps brands adapt their content strategy and distribution architecture so that they appear — accurately and authoritatively — in AI-generated responses that matter to their audiences. We also offer corporate AI literacy training programs to help client organizations build the internal competency needed to operate effectively in this environment.
HyperK is our new dedicated brand for Korean companies pursuing international growth. It draws directly on the global PR and IMC frameworks we developed through our years in the Allison affiliate network, and on the cross-agency collaboration experience we accumulated as hub agency for major global brands in Korea. We know how international agency networks operate not as an outsider looking in, but as a team that has worked inside those structures and delivered from that position. That is the foundation HyperK is built on. Korean companies entering the U.S., European, or Asian markets need more than a translation of their domestic communications strategy. They need a partner who understands how these markets operate—one with established relationships with credible local agencies and media, a deep understanding of stakeholder dynamics and regulatory environments, and the ability to deliver a coherent campaign across earned media, influencer marketing, trade events, and digital channels. All of this must be seamlessly coordinated and held to the same standard of strategic rigor that we apply in Korea.

Why Now
I want to be direct about why this moment feels right. The AI transition is creating a genuine window of strategic opportunity for agencies that are willing to restructure around new capabilities rather than defend existing models. The brands that will define what a modern communications agency looks like in the Asia-Pacific region are being built right now.
As I said at the time of our launch: “The more AI handles content generation and data automation, the more strategic human expertise becomes the true differentiator. Clients navigating the acceleration of AI transformation are looking for an agency partner that can move quickly, execute flexibly, and help them achieve sustainable growth. HyperM is combining our foundation in PR, digital marketing, and IMC with the new possibilities of AEO and GEO consulting — to support the real business growth of our clients, solve unmet needs, and continuously expand the scope of what we can do together.”
HyperM has relocated its headquarters to Samseong-dong in Gangnam (steps from COEX, Seoul’s largest convention and business complex) — the heart of Seoul’s technology and business ecosystem, and the address of choice for both leading domestic companies and the Korean offices of global firms. Our new space includes premium meeting facilities and a rooftop garden available for events and brand gatherings under our HyperS venue brand, and it reflects the kind of agency we intend to be: grounded in Seoul, connected globally, and built for what comes next.
Working with HyperM
If you are a multinational company operating in the Korean market and looking for a communications partner who understands both the local media and business landscape and the demands of global brand standards — including what it means to work within a hub-agency model — we would welcome the conversation. If you are a Korean company preparing to enter international markets and reach mainstream customers—and are looking for an experienced team that has successfully navigated that journey before—HyperK was built for you.
South Korea is one of the most sophisticated and competitive communications markets in Asia. The agencies that succeed here — and the brands that trust them — tend to be the ones willing to engage with that complexity rather than simplify it away. That has always been our approach, and it remains the foundation of everything HyperM is building.
